Staged reading of new screenplay at convergence-continuum
I’m excited to announce that there will be a reading of my new screenplay, Continuing Education, at The Liminis – home to convergence-continuum theater company. I’ve had the privilege of performing on the con-con stage several times over the years, so it’s a fitting venue for my script’s first public introduction. Here are the details:
Sunday, August 9th @ 7:00 p.m.
The Liminis
2438 Scranton Rd.
Cleveland, OH 44113
This is a donation-based event. Suggested: $10
Seating is limited, so reservations are required.
About the script:
Recently divorced and plagued by nightmares about being back in high school, Liza Fox is ready for a fresh start. But an attempt to reclaim a childhood dream turns her nightmares into reality. Over 50 and suddenly revisiting senior year, what starts as an exercise in humiliation becomes a journey of self-discovery. Bonds are formed with classmates on the verge of choosing their own path, and a charming English teacher becomes the second chance she never saw coming. In pursuit of an old dream and a new diploma, Liza learns that it’s never too late to change course.
Continuing Education is a love letter to both Gen X and the timeless struggle of figuring out who you really are – with a modern nod to some iconic 80s teen movies.
